The new entry to the Fallout franchise has been officially revealed, after the teaser website’s counter hit zero. The website now redirects to the official Fallout 4 website, and provides more details on the game, and its setting. Many details were leaked this morning, when the website accidentally went live, however now we officially have the announcement, can find many more details yet undiscovered. The game will launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, and pre-order links are already listed on the official website for all platforms. A new in-game trailer has also released.
The game is the follow up from Fallout 3, a classic title from the previous generation of consoles, developed by Bethesda Game Studios in 2008. They have worked on many titles, such as the newest release in the Elder Scrolls franchise: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. More details will be shared at 7PM PST June 14th, on Twitch and YouTube at the Bethesda E3 Showcase.
“We know what this game means to everyone,” said Game Director, Todd Howard, “The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”
It is great to see the previous generation of consoles being phased out for Fallout 4. The game looks great from the teasers we have seen, and after years of waiting, is finally real. Make sure to check out the official trailer below:
