On Friday afternoon, a listing appeared on Amazon for an Xbox One with a 1 TB hard drive and a new controller featuring a headset jack. The post has the following description:
“There’s only one place to play the best exclusives and biggest blockbusters this year, like Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Forza Motorsport 6. Now includes a 1 TB hard drive for storing games and media, a controller with a 3.5mm headset jack, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the definitive Halo experience on Xbox One.”
This is not the first time that the 1 TB Xbox One has been leaked, due to last month when Lamee Software posted the listing for the console early. This looks like a standard Xbox One bundle given its name, hoping to add more players to the Halo: The Master Chief Collection player base. The package will include the console with increased storage, the new controller with an integrated 3.5 mm jack and a bundled copy of Halo: MCC.
According to Amazon, the new 1 TB Xbox One model will be available on June 15, the same day as Microsoft’s E3 press conference. The console will most likely be announced at the end of the press briefing as something available the same day, similar to how the Xbox 360 E was treated. However, there is a pre-order option on the Amazon listing so they may announce the new bundle before E3. Either way, we know it exists.
