Target breaks Injustice 2’s street date in the United States

With only one day until the American release of Injustice 2, a mistake by one of the largest USA retailers has led to physical copies off NetherRealm’s highly anticipated fighting game reaching players’ hands early. Target, the second largest retailer in the USA, have accidently put copies of Injustice 2 up for sale at certain stores in Atlanta. Through using the self-checkout system, on-the-ball customers have been able to grab an early copy.

NetherRealm has been strict on keeping details on the story mode under wraps up until release, since for many players this single player content is one of the most attractive features. However, since the early copies have made their way on the streets the extent of the story is out there to see; if you’d like to stay spoiler free, stay wary of Youtube recommended tabs and forums.

This is by no means the first time a mistake like this has been made by retailers. There are countless occasions where a specific store has sold copies of games early, usually when workers at those stores sell copies to friends and families.
While a relatively small amount of the Injustice player base has their hands on these highly sought for copies, it has added tasty morsels to the already large banquet of Injustice 2 footage on Youtube, so if you’re curious on what the game is like there’s plenty of material to look at.
