Ubisoft has announced that Ghost Recon Wildlands’ second major expansion is set to release on May 30 for season pass holders. Fallen Ghosts is a continuation of the main story and tasks players with surviving new threats after their helicopter is shot down en route to a mission.
As detailed by Ubisoft, Fallen Ghosts takes place during a civil war in Bolivia after the fall of the Santa Blanca Cartel. A new faction, Los Extranjeros (The Foreigners), answers the call to help rebuild the country and restore stability. However they are far more interested in taking down any American agents still in Bolivia.
The Ghosts are then sent on one last mission to get any remaining Americans out, but everything goes wrong when their helicopter is shot down. Without support, the Ghosts find themselves being hunted by Los Extranjeros. Members of this faction come in four main types. Armoured are equipped with bulletproof plates. Elite Snipers can detect movement and spot enemies far away. Jammers are packing jamming equipment meant to neutralize drones and interfere with electronics. Lastly, Covert Ops wield a powerful crossbow and a prototype cloaking device.
There are 15 main missions in Fallen Ghosts, with four new bosses in three regions. Players will start with a new level 30 character equipped with all of the main game skills. The level cap has now been increased to 35. In addition, there are nine new unlockable skills available, six new weapons, and four new side-activity types.
Fallen Ghosts will be available on May 30 for season pass holders. Players without the season pass can purchase it individually starting on June 6.
