Mass Effect: Andromeda’s microtransactions leak

Mass Effect: Anromeda, like nearly every EA game these days, will feature a multitude of microtransactions for its online multiplayer portion, the prices of which have just leaked online.

Leaked by online games store ShopTo.net, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s “points” microtransactions have prices ranging from £3.95 (about $5) all the way up to £79.96 (close to $100), costing more than the game itself. The store listing claims that these points are either the same or a substitute for the in-game currency which will allow you to “obtain new multiplayer packs, which contain items used in the Multiplayer mode.”

While it’s true that microtransactions are par for the course with modern AAA experiences and that Andromeda will feature free map DLC for all players; the high cost of these microtransactions may be pushing it a little bit considering the price of the game and its expansions (if Dragon Age: Inquisition pricing is used as a comparison here).
