The latest edition to the Mass Effect Saga, Andromeda has the potential to be the biggest and best of the bunch so far, and potentially in the entire series. The creative development director at Bioware made this observation…as is his prerogative due to his job. However, if you analyze the details, it really seems to be the case.
Set in the Andromeda Galaxy, and being powered by the powerful Frostbite 3 engine, there is little information out there to give further details on this next adventure. Thankfully Aaryn Flynn, studio general manager, BioWare Canada, released a statement following the reveal, sharing a few tidbits about the game.
Flynn said, “this game is very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy. You will play a human, male or female, though that’s actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later). You’ll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with.
Mass Effect is an iconic game for many, as the variety of characters and storylines, alongside numerous explorable destinations, made it one of the most in-depth gaming experiences around. This is a game that I am considerably looking forward to.
