The winners of the third annual South by Southwest (SXSW) Gaming Awards were announced Saturday evening and a number of Microsoft titles took home awards.
The awards, which were held during a three day event in Texas, were handed out by a voting board of over 40 industry professionals as well as the general public. A total of 21 awards were presented, and you can see all of them here. The major awards along with those which Microsoft titles won, can be seen below.
Game of the Year/Excellence in Technical Achievement/Excellence in Narrative – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Excellence in Gameplay – Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Excellence in Animation – Rise of the Tomb Raider
Most Enduring Character – Rise of the Tomb Raider
Excellence if Musical Score – Ori and the Blind Forest
Excellence in Sound Effects – Star Wars: Battlefront
