The popular arcade fighting game Tekken 7 has announced dates of a few of their upcoming tournaments. On Twitter yesterday, Tekken Game Director and Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada and Tekken developer Bandai Namco announced the locations and dates of the 2016 Tekken Tour.
They also announced the annual Tekken tournament Final Round will have a $3,000 prize pool. This is big news for fans of the series and will allow players who can make it to get their hands on the game April 1 at Wizard World in St. Louis. While we are still waiting for console versions of the game this could be leading up to an announcement for the release date so keep an eye out.
Personally, I have no experience with the Tekken series but this is definitely a big opportunity for those who are going to be able to get to play the game. Even if it does not lead to a release date for the console versions it should still be tons of fun to watch for both fans of the series and eSports fans in general.
