Geoff Keighley, the creator/producer of The Game Awards and E3 Coliseum, has announced on Twitter that, as of now, the price of Project Scorpio is just $499.
A premium console at a premium price is what gamers were promised and that is seemingly what Microsoft will deliver, “unless something changes today” according to Keighley. As a trusted person inside the games industry, this announcement from Keighley is very trustworthy to say the least. While not official by any means, Keighley’s information is very likely to be fact. If not, we’ll find out at the conference later today.
I can now say with confidence Project Scorpio is $499. Unless something changes today, that is what will be announced.
