After launching on PlayStation 4, the popular Canadian Shomi on-demand video service is set to arrive on Xbox One next week. Starting on May 3, Xbox One owners will be able to download the on-demand video program to their consoles, Shomi announced today.
“We’ve heard from many Shomi members and Xbox One users that this launch is something they’ve been waiting for. We’re thrilled to have Shomi available on this popular platform”, said Ann Tebo, Senior Director of Customer Experience and Insights at Shomi.
According to MobileSyrup, “launched back in 2014, Shomi, co-owned by Shaw and Rogers, was previously only available to those with a cable subscription from one of the company’s parent companies. Since this past August, the on-demand and over-the-top video app has been available to all Canadians”.
