Snoop Dogg wants NCAA Football 14 on Xbox One via backwards compatibility

Snoop Dogg is spearheading a campaign to get NCAA Football 14, the last edition of the canceled college football series, on Xbox One through backward compatibility. Last night, Snoop Dogg posted a screenshot on Instagram asking his followers to vote for the game to be made available on the next-generation console. Microsoft opened a poll shortly after backward compatibility was announced at E3 this year and asked gamers to vote for the Xbox 360 titles they wanted to see on Xbox One.

Backward compatibility on Xbox One has to be approved on an individual basis by the publisher. Once Microsoft attains approval, they convert the Xbox 360 version to an Xbox One download that appears in the Ready to Install section of the console. The publisher doesn’t have to do any work other than give approval. Anyone who owns the disc can also download the title but they have to keep the disc inside the Xbox One Blu-ray drive to play it.
