During San Diego Comic-Con, Telltale Games showed off a new mode called Crowd Play that will introduce multiplayer to their Batman series.
Crowd Play allows other people and larger audiences to collectively make decisions while playing. Telltale has had several events where an episode in one of their series was played before an audience who would suggest which decisions the player should make. The company realized that this could be turned into an online multiplayer mode for their games. Players will now be given the option of activating Crowd Play, where they will then be given a URL that can be shared with others that will allow them to input their choices.
There will be two modes available, one that gives the player the final say in the decision and another that gives the audience the final say.
Although Batman is the first Telltale series that will feature multiplayer, the company is looking to include it in future series as well.
