Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 will release 3 weeks apart

Electronic Arts’ Chief Financial Officer, Blake Jorgenson, revealed during the 2016 Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Technology Conference that the target release date for the upcoming mech-FPS title by Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall 2, is currently slated to launch roughly three weeks from the release date of Battlefield 1.

Since Jorgenson didn’t state whether the three week difference in release would occur prior or post-release of Battlefield 1 meaning that Titanfall 2 could either release around September 30th , placing it on the same day as Final Fantasy XV, or November 11th, which would have the game compete with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s second week of sales. Either way, Titanfall 2 is up against a gigantic AAA release but would they really want to compete with Call of Duty of all games?

Jorgenson claimed that Titanfall and Battlefield release in such close proximity shouldn’t be a problem sales wise. He said that the two games target different audiences and that the difference in each game’s demographic isn’t seen as a problem by Electronic Arts.
