Ark: Survival Evolved coming to Xbox Game Preview December 16

Back in November, Studio Wildcard, the developers of Ark: Survival Evolved, said that the release of the game on Xbox One was imminent. Today, the date has been officially revealed as December 16. This isn’t the full game, Ark: Survival Evolved is coming to the Xbox Game Preview program. This operates similar to Steam’s Early Access but ensures that only games that are close to completion and aren’t at the risk of being cancelled get through. Additionally, a free trial is also available to try out the game before you make a purchase. The studio has promised to add new content regularly to the Xbox One version until the game’s release in June 2016.

According to IGN, the game will cost $35, which is much cheaper than the launch price of the title. Those who participate and help the developers test out the game will get exclusive content like the bionic T-Rex skin, special hat, and a trophy. Are you excited for the game because I surely am? I can’t believe in less than a week I’ll be playing it.

Additional, you should know that Ark: Survival Evolved runs at 30-45 FPS on Xbox One right now. I know many were worried that the performance issues that plagued the Windows version of the game were going to be there too. The developer has stated that the Xbox One version has further optimization and runs at an acceptable frame rate.
