August’s Games with Gold have been leaked if an alleged photograph of a banner is to be believed. Now, I must warn you that the source is 4chan, so take this with a pinch of salt. According to the image posted on the website, the free Games with Gold for August are Ryse and SlashDash for Xbox One and Catherine and Fallout: New Vegas for Xbox 360. We have reached out to Microsoft for comment and shall inform you once we hear back.
The leaked August selection definitely seems plausible as Ryse was a launch title and other games like Assassin’s Creed IV were free for Xbox Live Gold members this month. If this is indeed true then I have to say that I can’t wait to play the Legendary Edition of Ryse for all the extra content. I loved the multiplayer portion of the game even more than the story. Now I’ll get the chance to experience it all. The other title I’m excited about is Fallout: New Vegas. I preordered Fallout 4 and got Fallout 3 with it. I’ll play that when the game becomes backwards compatible but until then I’ll give New Vegas a shot. Hopefully the leak is genuine because I’m really excited about these games.
