Battleborn closed technical test registration now open

Gearbox Software has announced that they will be having a closed technical test for their upcoming shooter, Battleborn, on the Xbox One, and PC starting October 29th. You can register for the closed test by clicking here.

To register, you’ll need a SHiFT account with Gearbox, which you’ll probably have if you’ve played Borderlands. You will also need to agree to an NDA, which states that you cannot capture gameplay footage, livestream, post images, or publicly discuss the technical test on the internet.

This technical test is here to stress test their servers, balance players, and to fix any bugs that may pop up while playing. Registering does not guarantee a spot in the test, and if you are accepted, you will be sent a key via email that allows you to download the game on the platform of your choice. Certain criteria that they are looking for to be able to join the technical test are location, availability, platform preference, and accepting the NDA.

The minimum PC specs needed to play are:
-OS: Windows 7 x64-Bit or Later
-Processor: Intel Core2 Extreme CPU Q6850/ AMD A8-3870k (Quad Core CPU’s)
-Memory: 6 GB
-Hard Disk Space: 10 GB free
-Video Memory: 2 GB
-Video Card: AMD HD 7700/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or better, PhysX support
-Sound: DirectX 11 Compliant

Battleborn is Gearbox Software’s new first-person shooter and will feature 25 playable characters upon release on February 9th, 2016. If you enjoyed Borderlands, you will definitely want to keep a close eye on this game.
