If you were looking to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s rich summer blockbuster-esque campaign on your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, you’re out of luck and you’ll need to upgrade to an Xbox One or PC.
Activision has announced today that Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360 and PS3 would not be receiving a single-player campaign and will be multiplayer only. Previously they announced it would have two player co-op instead of the four player co-op that Xbox One and PC will have, Activision said this decision was made to accommodate to older hardware but have since realized this won’t be possible and have removed the campaign entirely.
The 360 version will still include the popular zombies mode and PvP multiplayer mode that has made the game so popular.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 releases November 6 on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The last-gen versions will be $10 cheaper and come with a voucher for the original Black Ops game.
