As we all know Xbox, Sony and Nintendo are companies, they sell their products to consumers all over the world. That is what they do, they want to make money, they don’t have to care about who you are and what you do, as long as you are buying their brand, right?
Wrong, Xbox brand stands out from the crowd, they go that extra mile. You are probably wondering how does Xbox stand apart from the other corporations? Well, it’s easy. Phil Spencer, as we all know, is the head of Xbox, he makes it a point to converse with the Xbox community and answers questions. Aaron Greenberg, Head of Xbox games marketing follows members of the community and also takes the time to talk and answer questions. Mike Ybarra, partner director of program management at Xbox and Windows, goes out of his way to listen to the fans to bring the best features and updates to your gaming experience. Phil, Aaron and Mike go out of their way to engage with gamers around them whether it be Twitter, gaming on Xbox itself, or even making dreams come true with the Fanfest at E3. This is why I am proud to be an Xbox gamer and part of this community. So let’s see what’s going on this week.
Gamer Spotlight
This week’s spotlight goes out to the YouTubers that stands their ground and above all else never let people push them around. Stick to their guns. Three of the biggest podcasters in this community TimDog, Mooch and CrapGamer take the negativity from every angle but still don’t let it get them down. From Twitter to YouTube, these gamers support the brand they love and game on the Xbox. But the reason they stand out so much is because even when someone tries to get them down whether it be from trying to make them look bad in front of social media or even Xbox executives, they rise above it as the bigger person and reply back with constructive and witty responses. They speak their mind, and that is why the Xbox community respects these gamers and stand behind them. Word of mouth to anyone is before you judge them you may actually want to get to know each of the gamers in the community because they may just surprise you.
Community Events
First, game night is held on Thursdays. Last week, playing Battlefield 4 on Xbox One was a lot of fun. It was hosted on Twitch by Asthmattic117. He made this a great night of fun for everyone, who came and joined in. Times do vary but are always on Thursday nights, so watch Twitter for future details on the next game time.
For the next community game time this week, we were joined by many great gamers. We tried to play DOOM, only to find out there is no private lobby, so had to move over to Titanfall, with that still a great night of fun. Brought to you by the Console Corner Podcast hosted by GKB and myself. It’s held on Saturday nights and all Xbox Live members are welcome and it always starts at 9:30 PM EST.
