Update: Dutch retailer Bart Smit has listed Dead Island Redux for Xbox One. Considering that the publisher is Deep Silver, I suspect that Redux includes all Xbox 360 releases. Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, and Escape Dead Island might be part of the package. However, I’m guessing it’ll just include Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide.
The trend of remasters continues and according to a leak, Dead Island: Definitive Edition might be coming to next-generation consoles. If a report by TheGamesCabin is to be believed, Dead Island is making the jump. Dead Island 2 has been delayed and in order to reinvigorate interest in the franchise, the publishers have decided to release a definitive edition.
I loved Dead Island and played it as a free Games with Gold title a few months ago. If this is priced right, it might be a great addition to the Xbox One catalog…if the original Dead Island isn’t backwards compatible that is. What do you think? Will you get this?
