Last year, Activision revealed before an earnings call that the next entry in the Destiny series would release in 2017. A new image appearing online now pegs the release date for this September.
An Italian retailer seems to have leaked a promotional poster for Destiny 2 with a release date of September 8. Another image on imgur appears to be a similar poster referencing a beta. Three helmet-less humans, presumably Guardians, are shown.
It should be noted that September 8 is a Friday, however it is possible this may just be the European release. According to Kotaku, Bungie plans to reveal Destiny 2 soon.
Destiny 2 is supposedly coming to PC in addition to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Bungie allegedly plans for the game to feature more towns and outposts with quests to make each planet feel less like empty wastelands.
