Evolve’s new Observer Mode announced, plus the Hunt for Gold event is this weekend!

Turtle Rock and 2K have announced Evolve is to receive a new ‘Observer’ mode that will make live streaming and commentary much easier for the games growing community. Since its release last month, Evolve has proved popular with the Twitch gamer, where many have taken to their streams to showcase the games 4V1 multiplayer.

Not a Twitch gamer? Don’t have the equipment to stream? Your in luck! The unique “Monsters Vs Hunters” gameplay is ideal for streaming enthusiasts, new or old, to engage with the community. With that in mind the new Observer mode allows spectators to join an online game, stream and commentate without the need for extra software or equipment. Spectators also have several abilities to change cameras between the awesome foursome and the marauding monster, minimise the games HUD for better viewing, and there is a handy Daisy cam if you just want to follow the Trapjaws. No definite date as yet for the new mode release, however 2K have announced it will be available in the near future for all platforms. Check out the video below.

Also this weekend running from the 5th of March to the 8th, Turtle Rock and 2K have announced the ‘Hunt for Gold’ event “as a show of appreciation to Evolve fans.” Gamers that participate in this weekends event will be rewarded with an exclusive set of Turtle Rock gold skins for the games three main monsters, Goliath, Kraken and the Wraith. These set of skins have never been available to the public before, having been unique to the games development team only. Players who play the game over the weekend will receive the skins after the event finishes on Sunday, and will be playable before March the 14th. In addition, Turtle Rock developers will be joining the hunt alongside gamers over the course of the weekend, either alongside or against them as a show of appreciation for the games popular start.
