Original Story:
San Diego Comic-Con took place last week, offering many gamers access to upcoming titles for the first time since E3. This was also the first time many titles were playable publicly, being the only major event so far after the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Today the Xbox official YouTube channel published a video recapping the event, and showcasing what was offered at the convention. From this video we now know that Fable Legends, the upcoming free-to-play, first party title is being released October 13. This is assumed to be the release date for the PC version also, supporting Windows 10’s Xbox integration. It is unclear whether this announcement was intentional or not, as previous statements have only confirmed a 2015 release window.
Fable Legends will take advantage of the cross-platform play achievable with Windows 10 and Xbox One. Those who play on PC will not require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. The game heavily focuses on a 4v1 playstyle, allowing a group of heroes to fight a powerful villain commanding units.
The video where these details were given can be found below, with the release date being displayed at 1:50.
