Developer Campo Santo has announced that the beautiful adventure game Firewatch is coming to Xbox One this month along with a free-roam mode. Players will be able to fully explore Shoshone National Forest with a full day/night cycle in free-roam and hopefully find some hidden secrets. The studio will also be shipping a Firewatch Audio Tour, a free update for all customers, that is “one part scavenger hunt, one part museum tour, one part game dev workshop, mixed with a dash of inside Campo Santo goofs.”
Firewatch was previously console exclusive on PlayStation and launched in February with positive reviews. Players took on the role of a fire lookout named Henry in 1989 after the Yellowstone fires. Henry starts to uncover clues about mysterious events happening around him as he communicates via walkie-talkie with his supervisor, Delilah.
Firewatch will release on Xbox One on September 21.
