According to a report by Power Up Gaming, many Xbox One users downloaded a free digital copy of Watch Dogs 2: Deluxe Edition from the Microsoft Store today after a redemption code intended for a single-use became reusable for hours.
For those wondering, the code doesn’t work anymore so you’re out of luck. The code appeared on Twitter and Facebook and spread everywhere. It’s not a surprise that many gamers downloaded the game for free because of this.
I imagine that just like when Fallout 4: Deluxe Edition went free, this will be revoked and maybe the gamers who downloaded it will get some credit, maybe the $10 that people got when they downloaded Fallout 4 for free many months ago. We’ll keep you posted. It’s still hilarious how often this happens on the Xbox Store though.
