The video game adaptation of the popular horror film franchise, Friday the 13th, has gone well beyond its $700,000 goal on Kickstarter and made $823,704. They will use the money to add additional features like a single player campaign.
The Kickstarter started on October 13th and ended on of course, Friday the 13th. The game will be a multiplayer game where camp counselors try to survive the night against someone playing as Jason, you’ll either have to work together as a team to take him down or run away and hide until the sun comes up. Kane Hodder, who played the machete wielding slasher in multiple Friday the 13th films, will be doing the mocap for Jason and the owners of the license to Friday the 13th will be involved with the project!
The developers have promised to release the game by October of 2016 on Xbox One and Windows!
