Frogwares, the developers of Sherlock Holmes, have announced today that they will be working on a new game called The Sinking City. It will be an open-world, investigation, Lovecraftian style game based on the Cthulhu Mythos. Frogwares refer to it as their biggest project yet and that it should open up the investigation aspect of the game much more allowing you to be free and open in your investigations.
The setting for the game is an interesting one taking place in the flooded city of Oakmont, Massachusetts in the 1920s. The player will be playing as a private investigator trying to find the truth behind these clearly supernatural floods. No platforms or dates have been announced yet but both The Sinking City and Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter will have demos shown at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next week so keep your eyes open for that.
