The Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle is now available for pre-order. The bundle was announced at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday. The Gears of War bundle will come with the remaster of the Xbox 360 game which delighted so many fans of the genre. The console itself is a standard 500 GB model and comes with a wireless controller. The Gears bundle will offer players access to the Gears of War 4 Multiplayer Beta, a Superstar Cole multiplayer skin, as well as an Xbox Live trial. The remastered edition will include 19 multiplayer maps and six game modes, along with five campaign chapters never before released on Xbox. The chapters were part of the PC version that released all those years ago.
The Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Beta was played by a ridiculous 750,000 people during the eight-day beta period starting on June 15. Following from that success, Microsoft revealed that the Ultimate Edition is also coming to the PC and will be available with DX12 support and be able to run in 4K on Windows.
The Gears bundle will be available from select retailers (Amazon and Microsoft Store) and will be available for $349. Basically, the game is free with the 500 GB console.
