Microsoft finally announced the release date of Halo 5: Guardians. The game will launch on October 27, 2015. In a live-action trailer that premiered with the season finale of The Walking Dead, the release date showed up after a rather shocking diatribe by Spartan Locke against the Master Chief. In the trailer, Agent Locke blames Master Chief for the destruction he has caused. The clip ends after Locke pulls his pistol towards Master Chief’s head and is about to pull the trigger. However, there’s a twist! There’s another trailer which reverses the roles and there we see Master Chief pointing the gun at Agent Locke. He’s blaming Agent Locke for the destruction which has occurred in his relentless pursuit.
The trailer paints Master Chief as a traitor. In a recent interview, Mike Colter, the actor who plays Agent Locke, revealed that he is a playable character in Halo 5 along with Master Chief. The game will also see the return of Cortana. The second trailer paints Agent Locke as the traitor and the individual responsible for the incredible destruction. We can’t wait to play this title and the hype train just went full speed ahead. October can’t get here sooner. Be sure to stay tuned to ICXM for more breaking news about this exciting game.
