Earlier today Hewlett-Packard unveiled the ultimate Windows Phone: The HP Elite x3. This device is targeted at business/enterprise customers, but it packs features that any die-hard Windows Phone fan has been dreaming of. Below are the confirmed specifications.
-Windows 10 Mobile
-Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
-64GB internal storage
-5.96″ diagonal WQHD (2560×1440) AMOLED multi-touch display
-Gorilla Glass 4
-MicroSD slot
-4150 mAh battery
-Wireless Qi and PMA charging
HP also released a promotional video and it shows off the beauty of the phone. Check it out below.
The hardware in the Elite x3 is incredible and this is a true flagship. Also included is Windows Hello support and Continuum, both are great features of Windows 10 Mobile for business customers. The device is set to go on sale later this summer.
This is a big step for Windows Phone. Having a big OEM like HP developing hardware for the platform is huge. Hopefully this will attract other OEMs like Samsung and HTC to name a few. Have we just witnessed a turning point in the life of Windows Phone? Only time will tell, and I believe it is going to be an interesting ride.
