Xbox Live’s connectivity with other services makes it more profitable than other gaming networks

Microsoft’s Build 2017 financial briefing has revealed a lot of what the multi-billion-dollar company believes about every aspect of the company’s business. CEO of Microsoft Corporation, Satya Nadella claimed that Microsoft’s Xbox Live is the biggest gaming social network and that the service makes a substantial amount more revenue than its competitors due to its increased connectivity with other services.

Microsoft’s claims are going towards increasing the connectivity between their consumers and other services such as Xbox Video, Xbox Music, et cetera. This will be a massive part of the companies push toward UWP (Universal Windows Platform) as this will allow Microsoft to create an even bigger infrastructure between its console and PC platforms.

Microsoft’s recent shift to a very consumer friendly style of business will also be improved in the coming years. Phil Spencer spoke during the briefing about how the loyalty of the average Xbox consumer. The biggest way that they’re planning to improve is through the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative connecting their PC and console customers and their recent introduction of Xbox Game Pass. These are definitely here to stay and hopefully Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2017 will include a lot of surprises for those on both great services.
