A new variant of the Surface Pro 3 lineup has been quietly introduced, adding a third Intel Core i7 based tablet, with 128GB of solid state storage. This now brings a higher end device, however with less storage, aimed at those looking for a more powerful machine. In the United States, the price is the same as the Core i5 tablet with 256GB of storage, at $1299. The UK store does not list the device.
With little than over a year since its release, the Surface Pro 3 is the most successful line of Surface devices to be released by Microsoft. The tablet now comes with three choices of processor, each having a choice of storage included.
These are now the six Surface Pro 3 models available, with their prices attached below.
• Intel Core, i3 64GB, 4GB RAM – $799
• Intel Core i5, 128GB, 4GB RAM – $999
• Intel Core, i5 256GB, 8GB RAM – $1,299
• Intel Core, i7 128GB, 8GB RAM – $1,299
• Intel Core, i7 256GB, 8GB RAM – $1,549
• Intel Core, i7 512GB, 8GB RAM – $1,999
To find out more about the Surface range and the new tablet variant check out the Microsoft Store. The tablet is now available to purchase, along will all other models of the Surface Pro 3. With the release of this new model, it is unlikely to see the Surface Pro 4 making an appearance anytime soon. Currently the Surface product line is becoming increasingly popular, and with the release of Windows 10 this July, more tablets will be using this new operating system.
