Xbox Scorpio’s E3 2017 teasers potentially contain hidden messages

Project Scorpio will be fully revealed in a matter of days and new E3 teasers seem to contain a few hidden messages, one of which may point to a possible release date. These short teasers released through various Xbox social media accounts don’t show off the console in any way, but cryptic messages were spotted by Twitter user XboxIngame, as Windows Central reports.

The first image seen below contains the characters “6>4” on the side of a tent next to a Ferris wheel. This is likely a jab at Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro, which only has 4.2 teraflops of power compared to Project Scorpio’s much-touted 6 teraflops.

The second image is the real interesting one. As seen below, this message reads “X10S101-317.” The initial half of the message, “X10S,” could possibly refer to the name of the Scorpio console itself, and the latter half may be the console’s release date. “101317” could represent October 13, 2017, a Friday this year. This falls in line with the launch date of the original Xbox One, which also released on a Friday in 2013.

While we can’t be certain what these messages mean, it’s safe to say they weren’t random. What do you think about these teasers? Will Project Scorpio launch on October 13? Let us know in the comments below.
