Playground’s Ralph Fulton reveals new features coming to Forza Horizon 3

In an interview with the YouTube channel MotorWorldHype, Creative Director at Playground Games, Ralph Fulton, revealed a few new features coming to Forza Horizon 3 in the fall. Below I will list timestamps in the video and what new feature was revealed then.

• At 0:57, Ralph talks about Surfers’ Paradise, the city area of the game’s map, and says “, which actually has a great motorsport connection…” This could lead to the possibility of a race track within the map, similar to Test Drive Unlimited.

• At 3:19, he is asked about new photo features, something I really want to see. He confirmed that Drone Mode is coming. “At any point during gameplay, in both solo and multiplayer, you can activate Drone Mode, and actually leave your car. You can basically control a drone as it flies around and films whatever is happening.” This feature will be great for Forzatographers and talented people in the Forza community who can make awesome videos with the feature, especially in 4K60FPS on the PC. You can even follow cars at real speed with the Drone.

• At 4:36, Ralph was asked about car sharing between clubs and so forth. He confirmed that car sharing among club members will not be making a return. However, you can share cars with your friends in campaign co-op. “If you’re entering an event that one of the players doesn’t have a car for, you can share cars so everyone can play through the game together.”

• Finally, at 7:03, Ralph not only confirms that you will be able to change your character in Forza Horizon 3, but he also talks about how that will work. You will have a choice from 14 different and diverse characters to choose from as your own. That way, the player can choose which character suits them best. You won’t be able to customize your characters, but this is one way to make them your own.
