There have been many rumours surrounding the performance and graphical quality of the upcoming Resident Evil 7 since the launch of its Beginning Hour demo on both Xbox One and PS4 with some sources inaccurately claiming that the demo ran at a resolution as low as 540p.
That doesn’t seem to be the case, however, at least not in the finished game with Resi 7’s producer Masachika Kawata claiming that the game will run at 60fps/1080p on Xbox One and PS4 with visual parity between the two. The game will also support HDR graphics on compatible consoles.
Resident Evil 7 sure is looking like an interesting and beautiful game, well in the same way that Silent Hill 2 was beautiful. I, for one, am looking extremely forward to exploring Resi 7’s disgusting, realistic environments when the game launches on January 27th.
