Update: A Technical Alpha will be taking place next weekend starting on December 16. Rare has announced on the Sea of Thieves website that this Alpha will be limited to 1000 players selected from those who signed up for the Insider Program. It will end on December 18. There will be more opportunities to be involved in technical tests in the future.
Rare’s upcoming title Sea of Thieves has received an Insider Program that will give players a chance at early access. While there is not a lot of information about Sea of Thieves, this Insider Program looks to be a great opportunity for players excited about it to learn more about the game, with “exclusive insights and updates on how the game is progressing.” Other program perks can be read below.
“Members will have access to a number of perks and bonuses. They will receive regular communication about the development of Sea of Thieves, and how player feedback is shaping the title.
Every Insider will also be designated with a unique badge in our official forum, making their posts and feedback that much easier to spot for our team. That same badge will provide access to a private Insider section of the forum.
Insiders will be sent surveys and questionnaires relating to Sea of Thieves, giving them the opportunity to provide input on specific areas of gameplay and design for the development team.
Last – but certainly not least – we’ll be selecting members of the Insider Programme in the future for early testing phases for Sea of Thieves. If you want to be considered as a participant in one of these phases be sure to sign up as an Insider!”
Players can sign up for the Insider Program here. Sea of Thieves is set to release in 2017 for Xbox One and PC.
