Milestone have announced a major update has been released across all consoles. The patch fixes some of the biggest problems encountered in game when it released at the end of January. PC/Steam update coming soon.
The change log below shows the announced changes.
• Problem solution of linearity of steering wheels in the menu options
• Input lag reduction using steering wheel
• Improved frame rate during race sessions
• Problem solution of the disappearance of the on-screen pace notes during an online session, after the pause of the race
If you read our review of the game, you would know that the frame rate issue was the biggest problem I found. I also said that if fixed, this would be a major improvement for the rally sim. Although a few bugs still remain (looking at you chase cam distances), this is a step in the right direction before Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo releases in the USA. Well done to Milestone for responding quickly to the user issues.
Rally Evo is a great rally sim, now if the developers can iron out the remaining few bugs they will have the best rallying title on consoles today.
