Splinter Cell: Blacklist was a solid title but one thing that it was missing was undoubtedly the voice talent of Michael Ironside. A source on NeoGaf has claimed that not only is a new Splinter Cell game in development at Ubisoft but that the new game will see the return of Michael Ironside as the voice of Sam Fisher.
The poster claimed that a source of his close to Ubisoft was “surprised Splinter Cell didn’t appear at E3” but that they “know Ironside is back. . . I know someone who worked on that set and Ironside confirmed to him he was doing the new Splinter Cell.”
If this rumor is true and Michael Ironside is returning as Sam Fisher then Ubisoft could potentially have another hit on their hand. While Blacklist was phenomenal gameplay wise, the voice of Ironside would’ve been a much better choice for the character, especially after the angry Fisher of Splinter Cell: Conviction.
