Final Fantasy 15 takes 200 hours to complete

Many months ago it was revealed that Final Fantasy 15 would have around 50 hours of gameplay in its main quest. Today, we got a better idea of all the side quests. According to Hajime Tabata, the side quests take around 100 hours to complete. If you add the basic content of the campaign with the time to complete all side quests, the game can take around 150 to 200 hours. The developers plan to add much more to the title before it ships in September as well.

Speaking during a livestream from E3 2016, Tabata said, “In terms of clearing the main story, we’re anticipating about 40 to 50 hours of gameplay. So at the very least, there’ll be 40 hours worth of content to enjoy in the final game. With just the extra stuff alone, we’re looking at maybe 100 hours of gameplay. So if you count all of that, maybe we’re looking at 200 hours of gameplay…the final version of the game coming out…about 200 hours total.”

What do you think about this rather excellent piece of news? I wasn’t interested in the game before but now I definitely am. The game looks fantastic and very intriguing.
