It’s a great time to begin a journey in Tales from the Borderlands, the point and click narrative driven title by Telltale Games. Episode 1 of Tales, which takes about 2 hours to complete, is currently listed as free in the Xbox One and Xbox 360 marketplaces. This episode normally retails for $4.99 USD. Episodes 2 through 5, which complete the season, are available for $4.99 each, or through the Season Pass, which has been marked down to $14.99 from $19.99.
It’s unclear whether the free episode and the season pass price drop are temporary or permanent changes. We’ve reached out to Telltale but have yet to receive a response. It is possible that this sale is in correspondence with the release of Minecraft: Story Mode, which premieres on October 13 digitally and on October 27 physically, but nothing is certain.
The final episode of Tales from the Borderlands should be releasing any time between October 13 and November 24, so be sure to claim the free pilot episode today and give it a shot!
