New The Division raid details surface

If you have been following The Division news for a while you may have heard about the raid like activities coming to the game called Incursions. If not, then The Division plans to have raid-like activities that will be insanely hard and made for players that have really hit the “end-game”. The first of these has been on the map since launch and says next to the mission that it will be coming in a free update soon. The name of the mission was changed from “Falcon Lost” to “Last Stronghold” secretly with the latest patch. The patch also changed the mission type from “Incursion” to “Operation”. These changes might be a hint from Ubisoft that these operations are coming sooner than we think. Below are images of the map, courtesy of Games Ring

The mission is based around the Last Man Battalion and tasks you to find a missing Joint Task Force patrol in order to stop the LMB from massing inside the underground facility. With the name now being Last Stronghold, this could be a way to put a close to their story. The mission recommends you have a gear grade of 150 but we don’t know how Ubisoft will be ranking gear. It’s safe to say if you want to dive in the moment it releases you are definitely going to need some good gear. The reward for the mission currently says “set item” and has a purple gear icon, but this could possibly be a placeholder. The story for the mission sounds interesting and leaves us with a bit of a mystery until we get our hands on it.

I decided I should probably go over and check out the location in the game, and I didn’t find anything too interesting. When you first get to the location you can see a giant closed gate with a lot of abandoned JTF vehicles both inside and out. You can’t go past the gate but right in front of it is a hidden ladder leading down to the sewers. You can climb down the ladder and at the bottom there is a small room with a closed grey door, which I’m assuming is the entrance to the operation. The location doesn’t seem to reveal any more details but the map size for the mission is rather small compared to other actual story missions, but again it could just be a placeholder there to tease us. Below are some screenshots from the area.

Personally, I’m not sure what to think as I don’t want to speculate any harder than I already am, but I am excited for new content. Ubisoft has definitely been quick about taking care of problems in the game, which I think is awesome, but you have to wonder how quick they will be about putting out content. Keep in mind it has been just over two weeks since the game launched so don’t freak out if you are still hunting some great gear. Of course, we will just have to wait and see what Ubisoft does.
