A massive update to Upload Studio just rolled out to Xbox One owners. The download overhauls the video editing software and adds many new features. Many of the changes were revealed by testers a few weeks ago but now everyone can experience them.
The first thing gamers will notice is that Upload Studio runs much faster and smoother. It’s easier to start a new project and add clips. There are many more elaborate transition effects as well. The biggest change in the update is the addition of templates. Users can pick one of the dozens of designs that correspond to games or popular culture and add their content to them. There is also a green screen option.
Gamers can also compile videos of up to fifteen clips. Each individual recording is still five minutes in length but Upload Studio can be used to aggregate those clips into a thirty minute video. This will come as a welcome addition to individuals who wish to create longer content and will be ideal for recording playthrough sessions and posting them on YouTube directly from the console.
These are some of the features we have discovered since the update came out a few minutes ago. What else did you find? What’s your favorite feature? Tell us in the comments below.
