If you’ve been on Xbox lately, you may have noticed some problems preventing you from buying or playing games, or from communicating with friends online. This is due to several Xbox Live downtime issues that have been reoccurring during the past couple weeks. Major Nelson took initiative, responding to a Reddit thread requesting that Microsoft compensate Xbox gamers because of the constant issues affecting them. Nelson indicates that he’s been keeping tabs on these requests, and is currently in the works of talking to other Microsoft employees about some possible reimbursement. You can take a look at his full response below.
It’s gratifying to know that Major Nelson is listening to Xbox consumers, even if some of the pleas for copious compensation after a few days of Xbox Live downtime might be nonsensical. I imagine that a few of these outbursts are more so fueled by anger concerning the possibility of Windows 10 and Xbox One compatibility, as some console gamers are worried about Windows 10 users receiving the same benefits as themselves without having to pay for an Xbox Live Gold Membership. You can read about some of our thoughts regarding this controversy here. What do you think of Major Nelson’s response? Do you think that Xbox gamers deserve amends for these recent hiccups?
