The next update for Xbox One will finally let Xbox One players buy Xbox 360 games directly from their Xbox One console. Of course, they will have to be backward compatible games. A number of other updates have also been added, including increasing the amount of time for “Xbox, record that” clips. The update is live today for Preview members.
If you want to buy a backward compatible Xbox 360 game, simply go to the store and download the one you want to play. It will be digital only, of course, as disc owners can simply put in the game to play. With this new update you do not need to already own the game to play. Some of the newer features are broken down as follows:
• Party chat increased in size from 12 to 16 people.
• Party chat can now be broadcast via Twitch, each player can opt in or out of this feature with an additional invite from the party host.
• Xbox record that can now be either 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. 30 Seconds was the standard before this.
• Xbox 360 achievements visible on Xbox One.
