Ed Boon open to Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat crossover

Ed Boon, the legendary director of the Mortal Kombat games, said that he would be open to the idea of a Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct crossover. While this might take the form of a new game, why not just add Mortal Kombat characters to Killer Instinct? I think that’s probably a faster way for this to happen and maybe one day make it into a proper crossover.

 

I really hope Phil Spencer and other people at the Xbox Team hear about this and Microsoft approaches the creator and the studio to make it happen. I’m sure they’ll have to pay some fees but it will be a very unique experience for Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat fans. It will even attract thousands of gamers to Killer Instinct. While this might not happen in reality given the legal complications of such a proposal, it’s still fun to speculate. Here’s hoping.
