The release date for 2K Games’ upcoming FPS, Battleborn has been announced today by the publisher at Gamescom 2015. Developed by Gearbox, who have previous built up the Borderlands franchise, the colourful shooter is scheduled for release on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on February 9, 2016.
The game will combine first-person shooting and cooperative play, allowing players to select heroes to control. The game will have 25 playable heroes, each boasting differing playstyles and gameplay opportunities. The title has a less serious angle to the FPS genre, which is rarely explored in modern releases. The newly released trailer portrays its tone perfectly.
