An alleged screenshot from an early build of the next Assassin’s Creed game has leaked online.
This seems to be related to a 4Chan poster back in April where a self-proclaimed Ubisoft developer. In their post the alleged developer claims that “ Egypt. There won’t be an AC in 2016. You may screen cap this and refer to it when nothing is shown in E3 2016. You’ll have to wait until 2017 for it. The reason: It will be a complete revamp of the series. The game is going for a Witcher feel, with player progression, freeform combat system. Horse is back, and boats too. It’s made by the Black Flag team. You may leave any question you want answered.”
This new image which looks like an early build of a menu shows numerous aspects of what we can expect from the next installment of the Assassin’s Creed series. The alleged menu shows us that there will be crafting and unlockable skills—relating to the “Witcher feel” comment from the 4Chan poster—as well as what seems to be a gigantic pyramid in the background, tying Assassin’s Creed Empire to an Egyptian setting.
Ubisoft, and Assassin’s Creed as a series, is a series that has for some reason been very susceptible to leaks over the years with Black Flag getting leaked due to concept art being worked on during a public flight.
