According to new data for the first week sales of the Xbox One S, and it seems like the new slimmer console from Microsoft has completely destroyed the slim version of the PlayStation 4. GFK announced that during the first week of the Xbox One S being available, sales have skyrocketed 989%, grabbing a massive 71% of the market.
According to GFK, the PlayStation 4 Slim which launched in the UK earlier this month have seen tepid uptake, seeing a drop of over 66% in sales year over year, and managed to grab a mere 19% of the market last week.
Microsoft announced the Xbox One S during E3 this year; the console features a 40% smaller footprint and comes with a 4K Blu-Ray player, 4K streaming and 4K upscaling on games. Microsoft stunned fans and even Sony executives coming in at $299. It seems like customers agree that the Xbox One S offers more value than any other console.
