Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gets paid Jack the Ripper DLC and season pass

As if it wasn’t obvious enough, Jack the Ripper will be part of the Assassin’s Creed universe.

I wrote an article about the newest Assassin’s Creed game when it was announced, and knowing that it was set in the United Kingdom, I teased that it would be really cool if they added a Jack the Ripper section into the game. This still sounds incredible, and I still can’t believe they are doing it. But as so many people thought the same, it became quite requested, and Ubisoft are clearly taking advantage of that.

When we met Leonardo da Vinci in the second game with Ezio, did we have to pay for it as DLC? No, because it was part of the story. Which is how Jack the Ripper could get involved, in a similar sort of way as Leonardo da Vinci did, he could help you with all of your weapons and train you to use them but turns on you at some point when you discover what he is really doing. That’d be cool!

I personally think this would be fantastic and all the game needed was a tiny little teaser showing you that Jack the Ripper was going to be in the game…instead we got a trailer advertising this DLC along with a season pass. It definitely had massive potential. In this trailer we get Jack the Ripper telling you how much he loves his work and that he wants to start again, and you can “try and stop him”. As said many times by every single games journalist ever to exist, DLC like this is just shit. Don’t quote me on that.

What do you think? Will you play it? How do you think Jack the Ripper should be added to the game? Check the trailer out below.
