There is a new Batman trailer for the game coming up next month and for every trailer that’s released, I get more and more excited. The most recent trailer is slightly different as it’s live action. It doesn’t show much of the game at all, but it’s still probably the best one I have seen so far.
The trailer opens up with a guy in a dark alleyway being surrounded by some thugs, and it cuts to a number of other people, a fireman arriving at a burning building and an old man being picked on a train. Text appears on the screen while these scenes play out. “Be selfless”, “Be determined”, “Be courageous”, “Be feared” and then it finishes with the Batman arriving and “Be the Batman” appearing on screen, along with Catwoman and Scarecrow.
The trailer was obviously playing on the theme that anybody can be the Batman, and Batman is never a person, he’s more like a symbol. Quite honestly this trailer is a hundred times cooler than any of the gameplay trailers. It’s not got any of the bullshit that most of the other games have, no false promises and over hyped scenes that you probably won’t see and do in the game. It was a short and sweet reminder that the game is just around the corner, as of we would be forgetting about it anytime soon.
