Going by previous rumors that suggested that still unannounced Dark Souls III would release in 2016, IGN obtained a Dark Souls III promotional image for E3 narrowing the release window. The unreleased and official art displays an armored hero covered with ripped cloth and flames, as well as the suggested launch frame of early 2016.
This follows an earlier rumor that Dark Souls III would appear at E3. The conference takes place June 16-18 with the major publishers holding briefings a day or two earlier.
